Happy Birthday Reese

This sweet baby turned 4 yesterday. I cannot believe it has been 4 years since this sweet Christmas baby joined our family. This was how the hospital nursery brought her to us. I still have this giant stocking.

Reese is such a spirited girl. She loves to perform. I need to put her in dance next year. Anytime she hears music with a driving beat she is up and dancing. No slow songs for her! She loves Taylor Swift. I have to remind her that she is only 4 and not grown. She loves to play outside. Her high heel black boots are a constant. It doesn't matter if she has on jeans, shorts, bathing suits or dresses she is in those boots! She LOVES her sister! Reese is a very sweet child who wants to help all the time.

We had a party on Sunday, Dec. 20 at an indoor Jumping place with inflatable jumpers. The kids had so much fun. We also had a face painter come. It stinks so much to have a birthday close to Christmas I think I went a little over the top! I'll post some pictures of the party later.

Reese, you are such a sweet girl and I am so blessed to be your Mom! You make us laugh everyday and you are such a ray of sunshine! I love you big girl!

Running, a family affair!

Before the race
I run races. I do not run to win. I run to finish. I have never finished above the top 50% I would guess. I have never been fast. I was on the sprint relay team in school but come on, I lived in McCamey and I ran track. How many people did they have to choose from?
Landry has run the last 2 races that I was signed up for. 3 weeks ago she ran a 5K. This weekend she ran the kid's fun run at the Jingle Bell Run. She was the 1st girl finisher and 3rd overall. She did awesome! Reese ran it too. She finished nearer to Santa who was running too!
I did not do the 5K. I got my shirt and called it a day. Shane is out of town and I hated to ask anyone to watch the girls while I SLOWLY jogged 3.2 miles.

Snow Day

We woke up Friday to SNOW! School was cancelled, a little much if you ask me, but none the less we were home for the day. We started the day with an early morning play in the snow. Reese found it quite irritating soon and declared, "I like the snow when it is warm!". She came and hopped in the warm bath. Landry had fun with the neighbors Brant and Riley.
The girls and I had baked sugar cookies the day before and it was time to decorate them. What a mess! Here are a few pictures of them.
We also collected snow for snow Ice Cream which we made today and it was so yummy! Fun memories!
